A Walk In The Park

A beautiful, misty morning in Central Park.  Walking around the Great Lawn with my Zoey, one woman commented to me “that’s some stroller.”  I replied “it’s some passenger”.

Walked around for 90 minutes or so, the park was filled with people out for early morning walks.  Zoey was the only child.  Everyone else was out with their dogs.  Interesting, that such a beautiful park, such a lovely morning, and dog owners take their companions out in droves, yet parents don’t see the need.  Is it simply that dogs absolutely demand to be walked?  Or maybe that most parents are so over burdened from a time perspective, that an early morning walk is simply not in the cards?

Another thing I noticed, is that the park ISN’T gridlike at all.  What a relief from the organized boxes of the city, to walk around in circles, never quite sure of which direction you’re facing.
